Influenced by the best of European culinary traditions, DiGhent is using the past as inspiration to write its own story. This journey may be thirteen years old but in many ways, it has only just started.
In look, feel and atmosphere, DiGhent calls to mind the quaint bistros of European provenance. Indeed, the menu here is focused entirely on the soul-satisfying mainstays of continental cuisine, specifically that of Belgium. Surrounded as it is by countries with a more famous gastronomic pedigree, Belgian fare tends not to get noticed. But, that’s just how the folks there like it. And it’s just such an ethos which guides DiGhent - let the food be upfront, and the service attentive but unobtrusive.
DiGhent is a piece of the old continent that has found a home amid the swanky highrises and gleaming office blocks of the Millennium City. In a world perpetually on the move, the cafe is both a safe anchor and happy haunt for the many looking to get off the carousel and savour life’s moments, whether alone or together.
DiGhent was founded in September 2012, and with each passing year has grown in favour with the locals. While Gurgaon was busy transforming into a hub of international cuisine, DiGhent remained an ever-present, its understated but elegant style, can’t-go-wrong comfort food and snug ambience quietly winning over people. The guests, predominantly expats but also global Indians, make up a discerning and cosmopolitan crowd, helping enhance its international profile.
